Early Intervention

You will always play an active role in your child’s treatment plan. Our services are always personalized around your child’s area of concern and coupled with the latest technology and research.

If a child has a developmental diagnosis with known associated delays, Let’s Grow Pediatrics encourages them to obtain a physical therapy referral prior to first signs of delay. This allows us to minimize the delay and prevent learned compensatory patterns. We evaluate children starting as early as 1 month of age for known developmental disabilities as well as torticollis and plagiocephaly.

What Children Can Work on At Let’s Grow Pediatrics

In addition to early intervention programs offered by the state, children recommended for physical therapy can highly benefit from the expertise and compassionate care provided by our Pediatric Board-Certified specialty clinic. We are trained in the Universal Exercise Unit and Dynamic Movement Intervention to help children succeed. Let’s Grow can provide multiple models for physical therapy to help your child reach their developmental needs, including:

  • Universal Exercise Unit: The universal exercise unit works through a system of pulleys and weights to help hone balance, muscle control, and motor skills to enhance your child’s abilities.
  • Dynamic Movement Intervention: Dynamic movement intervention involves directly challenging the child’s motor skills through repeated, dynamic exercises to improve balance and function.
  • Intensive Physical Therapy: Intensive physical therapy works through intensive, week-long sessions to improve posture, maintain regular movement, and catch up on lost milestones.
  • Muscle and Joint Strengthening: Children faced with severe injuries affecting their mobility throughout the muscles and joints can partake in strengthening exercises to regain range of motion and control.
